Product
training still a hot button
In the two years since the last joint survey between Progressive Distributor
magazine and the National Association of Hose and Accessories Distributors, there has been
little change in opinion concerning the quality of product training support available from
manufacturers. If anything, more distributors say training is less effective today than
two years ago.
When asked to rate the quality of manufacturer
product training, about 54 percent of the NAHAD distributors who responded to this year's
survey gave manufacturers a rating of 4 or less on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 is low, 10 is
high). That compares to 50 percent who rated product training 4 or less in 1999.
