The first step is to drive a quantitative stake in the ground,” says Todd Youngblood the YPS founder and CEO. “Without hard numbers and a scorecard, it’s simply not possible to know where your sales process stands right now or to measure the amount and pace of your improvement.”
Youngblood uses the same standardized assessment tool and methodology to help organizations improve their sales performance. “Readers may recall a similar project we did back in 2003,” he says. “It should be quite interesting to see the differences this time around.”
In addition to measuring the quality of sales processes, this project will also examine sales best practices used in the industrial and construction distribution industry. After compiling the data, we’ll publish results and analysis and explain how distributors can better apply Sales Process Engineering principles to generate measurable sales growth.
